I have lived in the Elgin/South Elgin area for most of my life. I was a competitive cheerleader and dancer for most of of younger years and throughout high school. Unfortunately, I spent many years straying from this path. I made a commitment to my health and fitness in June 2015. I started with running and ran many different distance. While marathon training I was looking for a way to get my strength training in and joined a CrossFit gym in fall of 2016. I fell in love and haven’t looked back. As a teacher by trade, I quickly moved into wanting to coach and lead athletes. I love watching others make progress they didn’t think was possible.
Favorite Workout/ Movements: Overhead Squats, Murph, Fight Gone Bad, Any long, nasty Hero WOD is welcome here.
Least Favorite Workout/ Movements: Jumping Rope, Deadlifts
CrossFit Strengths / Weaknesses:
Strength: Endurance. I also think that most of the long mind over matter workouts are a great challenge and enjoy that.
Weakness: upper body strength
